If you’re part of the Los Angeles law community and you sing or play an instrument, consider auditioning for the Los Angeles Lawyers Philharmonic!
They are currently looking for musicians and singers in the legal field. ALU is proud to have staff members, faculty, and students participating in “LA’s only legal orchestra.”
Opportunity
This a great opportunity for ALU students to meet judges, attorneys, and fellow law students. ALU encourages students, staff members, and professors to audition for any of the Philharmonic’s groups: orchestra, choir, or Gary Greene, Esq., and His Big Band of Barristers. The Los Angeles Philharmonic is seeking “advanced instrumental and vocal musicians who are lawyers, judges, legal staff, and law students.” They are “especially looking for those playing bassoon, French horn, trombone, bass trombone, violin, viola, cello, [and] string bass” as well as vocalists. To audition, email audition@LALawyersPhil.org or read more here.
Community
Past events have included the Walt Disney Concert Hall with Disney songwriter Richard M. Sherman, a concert honoring LA County Superior Court Presiding Judge, and shows benefiting veterans and homeless families. Coming up is a performance to benefit an organization that raises awareness about mental illness. This winter and next year promise to offer a full schedule of concerts and events around the community.
In addition to live events, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, including its ALU members, recently recorded with Sirius XM radio for national broadcast.
We hope you’ll join this community and show off your talents!
