Privacy Policy

Privacy comes first and foremost at Abraham Lincoln University (ALU). Your privacy is critically important to us. This privacy policy is effective 9-08-2021; it summarizes what information we might collect from an individual who visits our website(s), and what we will and will not do with it.

First, at Abraham Lincoln University:

  • We don’t ask you for personal information unless we truly need it to provide our services.
  • We don’t share your personal information with anyone except to comply with the law, develop our products, or protect our rights.
  • We don’t sell personal information. Your name and email address will never be given or sold to a 3rd party.
  • We don’t store personal information on our servers unless it’s required for the on-going operation of one of our services.

Website Visitors

Like most website operators, Abraham Lincoln University collects non-personally identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. ALU’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how our visitors use our website.

ALU also collects potentially personally identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged in users and for users leaving comments on ALU blogs. ALU only discloses logged in user and commenter IP addresses under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally identifying information as described below, except that blog commenter IP addresses are visible and disclosed to the administrators of the blog where the comment was left.

Gathering of Personally Identifying Information

Certain visitors to Abraham Lincoln University’s websites choose to interact with ALU in ways that require ALU to gather Personally Identifying Information (PII). For example, visitors who submit an application or an inquiry form can provide contact information, including email address and phone number.

In each case, ALU collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with ALU. ALU does not disclose PII other than as described below. And visitors can always refuse to supply PII, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities.
